I bought a disposible grill called Grill&Go at Costco. I BBQ'd today and man this thing rocks.

Grill&Go is a self-contained grill with its own coal and fuse. It weighs about 2lbs, can fit into a back back, and can cook for an hour and a half. All you got to do is light the fuse. When you're done cooking, just throw it away. I was a little skeptical, but it actually worked perfectly like it says on the box.

The best part is it's only $6 for two of them. I'm going to get a bunch of these and take it camping.

How much waste does it produce? What's left after you've finished using it?

Well the grill is made of aluminum mesh, I guess you can open it, dump the coal and recycle the grill.

I found the website to the maker. The Costco box look different, but the grill is the same.

I think Im gonna try one of those out. For the 2lbs it looks like its worth saving a few tree branches!

Well, considering how much energy and ore it takes to produce that aluminum, you're probably being more environmentally sensitive by using the tree branches.

I Work at a holiday park in Scotland and those things really p!$$ me off, cos they are "disposable" they just get left on the ground or thrown into the bushes.

I agree with bae. Not enviromentally friendly in many ways.

Ah K... I didnt even think about folks not thinking I pack my tuck out. I do, as Im sure every true woods type person does.

See I come from a diferent aspect. I love the bush...but all of my friends are "echo nuts" which puts me in one hell of a situation! I go out with them I MIGHT be ALOWED to pull a squirl or two...but add that to a bush grill...man I get flack from hell! SO I see it as a compromise. I getta pull my squills, and I dont get bitched at for reacking a tree.

Ah ya, so yas know. I do agree with not leaving garbage behind (expecialy in Canada, just cuz we got the space dont mean you can litter it up) and I have no probs with the "echo nuts", I think we need more of them!
