Grind of ZDP-189 Jess Horn

I was just browsing through The Deacon's Spydie page (again) and was looking at the Jess Horn page. Some of the earlier models were full flat ground instead of saber ground.

If the ZDP-189 Horn was made with a full flat grind, how much of a slicing advantage do you think it would have over the saber grind?

Thanks for any input, just something that popped into my head.

I think it would be amazing, but it would make the tip very fragile. I'd probably get one anyway. :o

I didn't know that some of the early ones were full flat ground. I just got one and I was thinking that the only thing I don't like about it is, it is not full flat ground. I am sure it would slice much better. In fact, if I see one for sale, I will probably buy it and let you know what it is like compared to the regular one.

Do you have a pic or a link to the page you are talking about?

If I'm not mistaken, the Jess Horns that were made for AG Russell were all flat ground.
