Grind question

While I am waiting for my SOFCK to get here(should be tomorrow) I have a question. Is the V-grind on the spear point only sharpened on one side? Bear with me because this will be my first Emerson. I thought I read that even though it is a V grind you only sharpen one side and just deburr the other side. Thanks

All EKI "V" grinds have the edge bevel on one side but still have a primary bevel ground on both sides.

The chisel ginds are totaly flat on one side and have the primary and edge bevel ground on the other side.
