Got her set up last night my grinds were horrible  I thought all night abot toolrest jigs anything to get a good grind without having someone to tell me oops that didn't sound right. Well at 5 am I was back in the shop now after 4 hours my lines are much cleaner :D hell they almost match up. My thumbs have burns and I have scraped my knuckles away :) I'm on the path bymyself so I know I'll be askin advice now and then Burned and bleeding before lunch :D It's going to be a GREAT DAY :D :D

Congrats -- burned thumbs and scraped knuckles just go with the territory. Don't expect to be good at grinding right off the bat. It takes practice (I'm still waiting for my practice to pay off with good grinds.) ;) Get them jig thoughts out of your head, and just keep grinding. :)

There isn't a jig yet that can compare in versatility and sheer artistry with a skilled freehand grinder.

Just MHO, of course.
