All of my belongings finally caught up to me at 4am Saturday morning. It took a little time to get things sorted out so I didn't get to work at putting my grinder back together till yesterday. The bench in the garage was just a little taller than I remembered it so I made a temp ghetto stand for the grinder. Basically I took the grinder out of the create I made for the move and mounted the grinder to that then bolted everything to a old washtub stand. I had to put a couple of pavers in the create to make it stable but it works like a dream, and for something that is make shift, its only about 1/2" shorter than ideal:thumbup: It doesn't look great but it works fine and I can't shake it off. I will try get a couple of pictures of my ghetto grinder stand tomorrow:p

All I need now is a couple blades for my band saw and some steel to grind on and I am set to go. I need to head in to Ottawa to get the blades and I should be making a steel order later this week, so everything should come together all at the same time.

Congrats UNK,must have been driving you crazy as it took so long to get built, then you didn't have much time to play with it before the move.Have fun.

I am submitting my steel order tomorrow, fingers crossed we don't get into a postal strike before me stuff gets to me:eek: I can't wait to start making purposeful sparks again. I got two knives out after getting it built up and then had to pack it up for the move, it was frustrating to say the least.

In the meantime, I heard there's some O1 available there:
Metal Supermarket (613) 248-1444 2413 Stevenage DrUnit 6. Ottawa, ON K1G 3W1

Best of luck and warm welcome to the area!
