IKEA has a clamp on led light that's like two feet long and adjustable. $15 I think. I have four for the shop. I have one on the flat platen tool arm, works for me

My shop area is as bright as an operating room but I still like task lighting. I have a floor standing 62" tall adjustable goose neck LED light I can put anywhere easily.

I use 2 moffatt goose neck lights (amazing quality and stay where you put them) with 120w led flood lights on them. It's perfect 😊

I use the Ikea gooseneck LED clamp lights too. Have 'em all over the place.

I setup a variant of this, but if you'd rather read than watch - it's basically an overhead swivel "track" that holds a high quality light, which can be positioned to your work location.
Instead of having a dozen inferior lights, you can get one or two high quality ones that move with you.

I use an LED dentist's style lamp on this track.

I use a bunch of t8 lighting from Lowe's, my grinding room is lit up so much that I don't need a specific spot light. Believe it or not, the right lighting is crucial for grinding. Shadows from spotlights were really affecting how I could see from the top position. I was using only the goose neck lights from walmart attached to my grinder.

I have 10 of these up....

I use a couple of clamp on 115V goose neck LED lights I found at Lowes. They work great!

A 4 foot LED light bar from Home Despot changed my life, and you don't break the bulb and get showered with razor shards if something bumps the fixture.
LED also is a new frontier in showing up scratches- it's almost too good, you have to take it outdoors sometimes to reassure yourself that it's not always going to be covered with lines.
About $40 for twice as good light as whatever you have.
