Been looking around and reading previous motor talk on here and the internet. I think I took 2 steps back. There are so many different motors out there and so many ways to go about rigging. I am just in planning and pricing stage and would love someone to say this is the motor you need this is the variable speed rig you need and anything else. I rent at the current time and only have a 110 options. Your help would be amazing since I am clueless. Thanks guys.

Search is your friend. Rob Frink is an excellent start. Great Finnish too!

He makes the KMG Grinders, and carries excellent motors and VDF's!

WIthout knowing what you intend to do with the motor giving you advice is impossible.
The motor I would recommend for a KMG is different for a motor I would recommend for a direct drive grinder (EERF or GIB).

PS As the numbers count recommended though either way I would go with Wayne Coe for my motor source.

Rob makes a super KMG but you can get a motor elsewhere for quite a bit less than for what he sells them for. Enough so that you could get several dozen belts with the money saved.

3600rpm 1.5hp,tefc 56c face mount motor.
I personally would get a 3 phase motor so I could also get a vfd for variable speed.
