Well I have been putting money aside for a while now to get myself some tools to actually start putting a real effort into making knives. This has been aided by Luftansa misplacing my suitcase, and I am looking at getting a kmg grinder with a very basic level set up. At least until I can get myself some better acc. for it. I was wondering what people would suggest for tooling up one of these grinders.

You just need the basics, the flat platten attachment, small wheel attachment and a 10" contact wheel. You'll need a couple extra tool arms to you can do quick configuration changes. Add in variable speed and you'll be set:)

That's it. The KMG 10" grinder Pkg. is really all you need. I make lots of knives with nothing more. The small wheel is super handy, and the rotary platten rocks. you will deffinetely want extra tooling arms for super quick change-overs. If you have the choice, I would get the rubber wheels on your flat platten. They run a lot smoother, and make it nice to grind contours with them.
Have fun.
Adam.
