Grinder wheel recommendation

I need to get a setup for small wheels, on my grinder. I see a lot of different ones advertised on eBay. Is there a “best”one? Are there certain belts to avoid when using the small wheels?
 
Don’t know a particular brand to recommend, but I suggest a few rubber small wheels, they cut down on chatter a bit. All my belts work on the small wheels, x weight, j weight, Trizact. The main thing is to keep the speeds and loads down. Those bearings are small.

I’m also interested if there is such a thing as buying a single small wheel, somewhere between 1/2”-3/4”. Seems like a set and holder is more of the industry standard.

It is a thing. I have a single rubber small wheel I believe 3/4". Search on google and you'll find them.
 
I did this research recently. I went with the knifedogs small wheel holder and the rubber wheels from usaknifemaker.

usaknifemaker sells individual small wheels.

also, to OP: I have the pheer small wheel set. Works with all of the individual random small wheels I’ve purchased. Usually the seller will disclose which small wheel attachment the wheels should work with. Don’t go above 30% on your VFD and make sure the bearings don’t get hot to the touch.
 
You will have to make the tool arm yourself so it matches the offset of your grinder. That isn't hard.
Pick a small wheel holder and wheels that are readily available. The sources mentioned above are all good.

Ameribrade sells individual wheels, I bought one but you may have to ask. I live by them so it was easy to just pick up.
 
Sent an email to find out when the knifedogs small wheel holder will be back in stock.
What size wheel do you end up using most for finger grooves?
