Grinder

Last week at the Blade Show there was a strange looking grinder in the back lefthand side of the room. It was a yellow cabinet and had two 2" x 72" belts, I think. I intended to go back and check it out, but got sidetracked and forgot about it. Who made it and what was the cost? I believe it was kind of like the grinder on e-bay. Does anyone have any info?

I looked at the machine you are talking about. It is made by a knifemaker from South Carolina, can't remember his name. The machine sells for around $3200.oo the best I remember. It uses two 8" wheels to hollow grind both sides of the blade at once. One wheel can be adjusted to allow for different thickness of steel. It appeared you could only do the hollow grinding, and would still have to have another machine to profile blades and handles, very limited use.
