Taking a quick break from grinding and thought I would see what the rest of the Fiddleback Forge Family and WAS Nation is up to.

I am searching for the ever elusive morel mushroom today

Lucky! I am working at our greenhouses. First day open for flower sales and have some ripe cherry tomatoes too! I need to take a day off for morel hunting!

Heat treated a damascus blade this morning, weedeated creek banks while it's in the tempering oven, and now plan to do the final grind. Good day to be grinding Allen!

I am in the office "grinding" away myself. Although my definition of grinding is crunching numbers so its nowhere as exciting.

Just got done sanding the scales on my sons knife that was forged from a truck leaf spring, now getting ready to mow .......or go fishing.

Catching up on paperwork from the high speed chase yesterday, and about to iron a uniform for another do work Saturday night. Weekends are working days for me.

Weekends are work for me, being in the bar and nightlife business, but this weekend... soccer games with the kids, then headed to the lake for some much needed yard work, then a little striper fishing and sitting around the campfire. Got my blue Asp on, and headed out... Hope everyone has a good evening!

I finishing putting together a new hybrid grill (half charcoal half gas) and it's currently seasoning while two racks of ribs and two whole chickens are in the smoker. Put the patio back together after resanding the blocks last night. I'm whooped and my friends haven't even gotten here yet!

I am at the shop today,
I've been catching up of packing orders of Rhino Finger Skins and as soon as I finish my Pad Thai noodles with pork its back to grinding a 7 3/4" Asian chef knife for a customer that I started yesterday.

It beautiful weather here today! Looking forward to a long walk by the ocean with my wife & doggie in the early evening.

Just got done with the first trip to the biggest, emptiest parking lot I could find to start the driving experience for my newly permitted daughter.

Later, I plan on coloring all the new grey hairs.

Luckily I have a few more years before I begin that adventure. At the rate I am going, I will be all grey by that point!

All morning, and into the afternoon on the soccer fields with the kiddos. Got home, pulled out my Kammok, and just woke up from a nice 45 minute nap!

Not a bad Saturday so far!

Busy at the house today: routine cleaning, washing cars, vacuuming out the garage, finishing drywall/painting the basement

On a positive note, a new FB arrived today!

Now we're celebrating Bright Saturday with our Russian Orthodox neighbors. It's always fun breaking fast and celebrating with them. As much meat as you can handle (and then some more) and good beer and community too.

Later will be the Avs vs the Wild. GO AVS!

grinding done, beers opened, chicken on the smoker at the in-laws, minnows bought. Drink, then eat, then head down to the dock and fish for some stripers and enjoy the rest of the day. renaissance festival tomorrow!
