Grindworx is super super cheap on a certain website right now. We're talking 4" blade damascus fixed blades with kydex sheaths for $30-40, and a bunch of blade blanks with guards in a similar price range.

Is this something I should be hopping all over, or is it pretty much priced at the quality level?

Oh, gross. They list 15n20 / 1095 with a 58-60 HRC, but they don't list the source... That explains a lot.

So, basically, this is like the eBay "custom damascus knife" BS? That's a shame.

And that is what you are going to get when looking for $30-$40 "Damascus". If you want real Damascus, you ARE going to have to shell out some decent $$ to get it. Hey, you can at least get a Chris Reeves Knife with Damascus, for not a bad price. Just a thought. Or check out our knife makers area, to see what our guys have for sale.

You should still buy it, try it out, and let us know how it did.

Yep, gross indeed. But then again that is the same ingredients that most Paki made Damascus claims to be, but clearly the testing that some makers have made has proven otherwise. They forgot to add, dirt, tires, plastic, wood, hub caps, bumpers, sign posts, chicken wire, and any other assorted metal type items readily available. I got a Grindworx Damascus dog tag and chain necklace thing free for buying some stuff at BladeHQ. It was a cool little add on to my order, I would not have bought it otherwise, maybe as a gift for a nephew or something. I wouldn't have paid more than say $5-$10 at most though.
