Has anyone got any opions on the differences between the handles of the "classic" sebenza and the "regular" one.
In particular which feels the most secure in your hand:
The "classic" with the finger choil.
Or the "regular" with the serrations for grip?

p.s. thanks for the info regarding the swedge and blade serrations.:d

I've got both, carried both, and used both, and to tell the truth don't really know that one does feel better or more secure over the other. They both feel good in the hand!:) I am currently carrying a large Classic with leather inlays. It may be that the regular large I carry is a woody, and the other large Classic I have is a woody, that I can't tell much difference. The woodies will give the handle a bit more width.

So, in conclusion, I don't guess I've really answered your question. But I am sure someone will!:D

Hey, SMAT, I just noticed I have 1000 more post than you:cool: Not that it matters though!

I didn't care about Seb. till a dealer
handed me a Large Classic then I was in
love, and wanted to get one, and Did!

But I don't think iether one is "best",
Just the Classic is better for me!

Try both if you are like me you will know! :)

Hey artsig1,
It's true, you do have 1000 more posts than me!! But as we all know, it's quality that counts not quantity!! ONLY JOKING!!! (at this point I would normally put in a "smilie" or two, but they don't seem to be working, just comes up with "error on page" in the bottom left hand corner! ANY IDEAS?. As I'm sure you've guessed, I don't really know much about computers!).

Cheers for the info, guys. It has been taken on board and soon I shall be ordering my lovely new sebenza. WITH swedge and serrations.

I handled both before deciding on the Classic. To me it feels just a little more comfortable- I didn't like the griping ridges on the regular.

I don't like the ridges or the grip on the regular.

I am a big fan of finger choil grips, so I prefer the classic.

I have a small classic and just got a large regular.

I am going to try and trade the large regular for a large classic.

Last year I sold both my large and small regulars. I picked up both a new small and large classic and now I'm hooked! Both classics seem to fit my hand better and have easy one-handed closing.

I had a small Classic that I carried daily for two years. I recently traded it for a small Regular and LOVE it. I wish I would have went with the regular in the first place. I have large hands but don't know if that's the reason. Maybe it's all in my mind.

I have small classic plain and regular decorated with Pheasant Tail fly, both are comfortable and equal IMHO.

The large Sebenza I prefer is my Classic wood inlay, the thumbstud cutout is more accesable and the blade has a profile that I find more functional.

Regards,
FK

For me Large Regular is hard to beat. More solid in hand... yeah, Large Regular it's just one tough guy.
