I have been considering awhile to buy a smaller knife for edc that is also capable of handling some larger tasks. Two knives I'm considering are the spyderco domino and Hinderer XM-18 3". It is important that I can get a full grip on my EDC knife. I can barely, but do get a full grip on a 3" recon 1 and for most companies I'm a large glove. I do know that the closed handle length of the mini recon 1 and 3" xm-18 are the same, but that doesn't mean they have the same grip length. Also, I saw the domino a lot of the handle where you can grip is pretty far from the front of the handle, thus I also worry about what the actual grip length is. I hope I can hear from some people who are familiar or own these knives.
