The little icons next to each thread do not change enough in appearance once a thread has been looked at. Very hard to tell the difference between a thread with no posts and one with new posts.

Tired different skins but none seem to address this annoying issue.

It's a real PIA, anything we can do??

Hope this makes sense.

They're different. Light blue for new posts, light gray for no new posts. It is pretty subtle and hard to see though. I too would prefer it if the colors were bolder and more dramatically different.

EDIT: I see what you're saying now. The blue and gray are for "not hot" threads, but both the new and no new post envelopes are the same color. Just with a closed or open envelope. A bold red for new and the pastel pink for no new would be good I think.

I don't ever even pay attention to those big dumb icons for new posts, I see if the "Go to new posts" button exists, and obviously click directly on it if it does. It's to the left of the thread title, looks like this:

I don't understand why they have to be so close in colour??

Why not make them different??

For threads with new posts red
For threads with no new posts blue

Who cares if a thread is hot or not?? We can all see how many views it has had. :)

Well currently threads getting a lot of activity get the red icons. We're going to have some new ones soon, hopefully
