Talk about fouling up a wet dream

Yes I know the way to open an axis lock is pull the lock and flip. That's why we like these. For sure.
Occasionally I want to open it one handed without the loud POP. So I use the thumb stud. Nice and quiet that way. Well done BM !

Lately I have seen some indications that I may be an idiot. I hope not. I don't like being around idiots.

BUT
a couple times now I opened it, obviously without looking while I am working, and I wind up with my thumb pad on the edge of the blade right at the sharpening choil area of the blade. I have not drawn blood but got a nice little slice in the skin.

After the second time I paid attention and tried to discover what I was doing wrong. I don't even understand HOW to open it to get this out come. Seems impossible . . . but I have done "The Impossible" twice in two days.

Strange not knowing if I am super man (doing the impossible) or an idiot . . . can't even open my pocket knife without cutting myself all the time.

Is there a pill I can take ? BM folder deployment camps I can attend ?

:thumbup::confused::thumbdn:

PS: Bump
any body else experience this nicked thumb thing ?
Cause ?

I have done that on folders before, but never with BM. Usually occurs to me with stiff opening designs such as lock-backs or other designs with a very heavy detent.
