I've been trying to find a nice knife for EDC/SD, along with using it for some outdoors/hunting stuff, and I finally decided on the Griptilian, but which one i just can't decide. I was just wondering if anyone could point out the differences between them, i'm reluctant to spend the extra $$ w/o knowing exactly what i'm getting thats different. :p

thanks

The Ritter has S30V steel and a different blade profile (drop point) than the standard offerings from BM. The S30V steel is probably worth the difference in cost over the others. Unless you really use the knife extensively without resharpening or touchups it is hard to beat well done 154CM or the D2 you find on the Cabela models. The drop point blade will lend itself to a variety of everyday tasks and especially come in handy for skinning as a hunting knife.

That's the one...Thanks Moondrop.

Do a search on "rsk" I think there may be others also.
Basically everyone raves about the knife..

Artsig covered the difference in steel well.
...I'd take s30 everytime...all things being equal :)
