I have a Randall #2,8", weighted handle, ordered. Changing from reverse to forward with the commando handle is not natural to me. Forward to reverse works fine. The #1 handle works fine. Should I change the dagger order to #1 grip configuration? This should not affect indexing, or anything else.
This is a specialty knife, as the F/S is. A snatch op.,or whatever. The #1 is most needed as a utility knife. To pry ammo crates and such. This design works as a fighter as well. Unlike our friend MAJ Robertson, I have heard of no troubles with the #1. I think that was once that it failed.
Thanks Bo, and now Gary.
I like a top guard. I can reach over it. It is not in my way. A little something extra. Lannieppe?

I was wondering something else. Few people have combat experiance. Those of us that do can only speak from their own experiance. We command rifle PLT`s in combat, teams or what ever.
Some are straight grunts. They never had a command.
Why is the killing business a plus?

FNG,
Gosh, I would love to help you answer your question but I am not familiar with Randalls who I am unsure of the grips that you are talking about. Hopefully someone who is familiar with Randalls will come onto this thread and be able to throw you a suggestion based on having seen the knives.

I would go with what is comfortable to you and if another handle style is comfortable, then have Randall change the handle for you from the style you mentioned. They should be able to do that.
