...but the handles are getting kind of ugly/boring. They're too thick on their spines and the grip spikes look cheesey, and I want some new scales :( Otherwise I LOVE the knife. I also love the OD. Is there any way I can get an extra set of scales to experiment with (reshape)? Anyone else have modified Griptilian scales?

Needle-
do a search on it-somebody posted pics of someone tha had micarta scales made for theirs. IIRC, the maker decided it was very difficult-but hey, you have spare time, right? ;)

It was done by Chax Knives. Link. I believe that the cost was high because of the milling and he's no longer doing them. Good luck with the project though if you decide to do it and post some pictures :)

Please note: we no longer do scales for Griptilians. The work far out weighs the costs and the screws do not hold up well. I told Chase if I ever see another Griptilian, I would through it on the floor and jump up & down on it. So, of course he ran & hid his!
