im looking at these two knives and im just wondering which one is better quality wise? the benchmade Griptilian or the Benchmade Presidio?
haha we need a benchmade forum here

Presidio is much tougher with the thick aluminum scales. It will rip up your pants though and it's heavy.

The Presidio has the most comfortable handles I've ever felt on a folding knife. The Grip, not so much for me.

The Grip will cost you less, you can almost have two Grips for the Price of the Presido. Blade shape is about the same, 154CM blades steel in both.
The Grip is lighter but plenty strong. The Presido scales will definitely eat pockets up. Both are great knives.

Are you including the Ritter Griptilian? That might tilt it in favor of the griptilian. Might go for a custom handle as well at some point.

I have a griptillian and am not thrilled about the 154cm - mediocre edge retention blah blah blah. They're nearly $100 now and to me not worth the cost. I've always liked the presidio, but it's pricey especially with the same blade steel as the grip. For the price of the presidio I'd maybe get a 913 nitrous in D2 or a 710 in D2 or M390.
