For those who purchase the Griptilian for the low price and great use of the Axis lock, there is probably no reason to upgrade to the Griptilikins mod.

HOWEVER, if you want the best overall experience with your Griptilian….this is the good stuff! The G10 is more durable, better looking and does not have the hollow sound that the stock Zytel handles have. The Griptilikins feel better in the hand, imo, and carry much better, without the ovoid and somewhat bulky profile of the stock Zytel.

Have been edc’ng this for almost a year, and am very happy to have it…..

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I liked mine a lot. By the way, Kevin has requested of everyone to stop referring to it as the Griptilikin. (legal reasons as I understand it). He now calls it the "Wilkin's Grip".

I had a set for a few days and decided they weren't for me. I'm not a huge Axis lock fan. They are impressively well made though. Mr. Wilkins did not skimp on materials or labor. I had the pool green G11 and the texture was among the best I have seen on any synthetic handled knife, plus, his bee sting dimpling is very aesthetically pleasing. The install was very smooth. Mr. Wilkins runs some tight tolerances and e/t sits right where it should and fits together better than alot of customs. If you ever install a set of these and you see a gap that looks like it shouldn't be there....odds are you screwed up. (I know this because I did :o)

Aside from not being a big fan of the Axis in general I did find one thing that bothered me. It seems like the cut out for the lock coould have been opened up a bit with a bevel or something of that nature..... maybe it's just me.

I love my Ritter grip and really liked the way the Wilkins grips look but the cut out for the axis studs just did'nt feel right to me either. I sold mine.

Hmm... he should find a way to remove the word "griptilikin" from the address bar of his website then. Just sayin...
