Rugerlab1, I've had mine about a week & really like it. Opened & closed it a bunch of times to break it in, then hit the action with the aerosol "ZEP 2000", a penetrating grease with teflon. Now when I draw it, a SHARP flick of the wrist will open it without bothering about the thumb stud or releasing the axis lock. Very fast deployment. The same trick works on my 710HS . As to the knife's performance , very good. Sharpened right up to razor & fit & finish are very nice , except for slightly different edge bevels on the right & left sides of the blade, but it works just fine with my sharpmaker. I highly reccomend the Ultra fine stones to set the microbevel with D2, M2 , or any of the other finely grained steels. Gives it that extra sharpness I refer to as "sticky" sharp. Have'nt done any serious chores with it yet but I know it's a very capable knife. If you have'nt handled one before, it's kind of a fat handled little knife, but I like that for hard use & good grip. Dose'nt get in the way in the pocket either. Very happy with mine and a "limited edition" with this steel is a bargain at the price. Hey, they also have the "knives of alaska" at cabela's in D2. I'm saving cabela's points on my credit card for one of those next. Let us know what yours turns out like.
