Griptillian pivot spacing issue

So I bought my first standard griptillian about 3 years ago in kyrgyzstan. I have heavily abused it, I carried it almost every day, and it's held up great. Very little blade play now and still just as functional as the day I bought it. I like the griptillians so much I decided to order 3 of them for groomsmen gifts for my wedding in 4 months. 2 mini ritters and 1 regular ritter all in s30v. One of the minis came with a very slightly blunted tip. And that I can live with. Both minis have outstanding build quality. The full size however has an odd issue with it's pivot spacing. There is blade play no matter how tight the pivot is. If I hold it up and look at it I can actually see space between the washers and the blade, but not all around. It looks like this is due to the stop pin, which is also a spacer being just slightly too long, or the washers not thick enough. I do not know if my 1st grip had this issue, but it definitely does not today. Is this something common among griptillians? It's not a big deal to send it in, and by all means, I still think benchmade is the greatest producer of sub $200 knives out there. I'm sure they would be more than happy to make it right through warranty service, but I'm just wondering how often this happens.

Blade play out of the box is a significant defect for any quality knife, IMO. I'd send it back, BM is good about taking care of defects.

I very recently bought two Mini RSKs and they both lock up well with zero play.

One of them had a rattly stop pin, but I rectified that with a dab of blue Loctite.

Over the years I've bought around ten full sized Grip variants and never had any issues with gaps near the washers, or with blade play.
I'd send the knife in to Benchmade.
