Griptillian problem

So I bought a griptillian about 6-7 months back. Love it and it always worked just fine. but now one day all the sudden once it gets to about 30 degrees from closing, about the point a spring assist would take over if I was opening an assisted, it gets very hard to close or I cannot close it at all. If I pull the lock back, it closes just fine. And its not for lack of lube, I have put pure silicone and dry lube silicone lubricant on there. I though maybe the lock pin is squared off or something like that but it isn't squared off enough to see so if it is it is a very small amount. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be going on? Thanks

No,both the omega springs are intact. Once I noticed the problem I took it apart and cleaned the blade hilt and washers and checked the springs. And it has been relubed. I sure wish I knew what was going on with it. It just doesn't make any sense. It isn't rubbing on the scales either. The blade is perfectly centered.

you could try removing just the first scale and opening/closing it so you can see what's stopping it, of course making sure to keep the omega spring on the exposed liner from popping out.

It's a BM, send it in with $5, they'll check & resharpen...pretty sure they'll catch the problem. Leave a note of this issue.
