Gritomatic/Hapstone V7/Stones?

Hi All, I am closer to pulling the trigger on this Hapstone and choosing the diamond bundled stones that will ship a long with the V7. My question is this, I understand that the diamond stones, even the finer grit will leave scratches? I am thinking of adding a Shapton Glass 16000 grit in the progression as a final finisher. Would this help in achieving a polished edge?. The finest stone in the diamond bundle is FEPA - F2000.

>>Progression after diamonds is a difficult question. Venev 2000 creates the apex sharper than Venev 1200 but a scratch pattern is almost the same. If you want to remove scratches of Venev diamonds, you are better to downgrade your grit (make 1-2 step back in progression). Scratch pattern depends on steel type. On some steels, scratch pattern after Venev 2000 will be weak, and 6K-8K will be a good progression. On other steels, a scratch pattern will be too deep, switching from diamonds to synthetic stones should be in medium grit. Switch to Shapton Glass 16K is acceptable only if the aesthetic of cutting edge does not matter and you ignore scratch pattern problem.
 
Thanks! always so prompt. It seems well above my current knowledge of sharpening but I will keep that in mind.
