Has anyone else used any the new Cold Steel grivory knives??? I was intrigued after doing a search that I have ordered one of the Skean Dhu ones. Cheap and nondetectable.
Do they break? Are they brittle? Can they be sharpened??
The wonder of plastics!!?
Anyhow, in a short time I will have one and find out for sure!

Well, there is a recent thread on this now...

But here is a quick summary...

They are fairly tough, and seem to be intended for stabbing almost exclusively. You can sorta-kinda-maybe sharpen them a little bit with an emory board, but don't do it much or you will grind the whole thing to dust.

I just got a Tai Pan model, and its neat. It is very stiff, but still just flexible enough not to break easily.

Bottom line, its hard to lose for 10 bucks, and they are kinda cool. DO NOT TRY TO SNEAK THEM PLACES, IF YOU GET CAUGHT BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN.

happy hunting
