Hello All,
I am new to this forum as well as knifemaking, I have made probably a dozen or so knives over the past 3 years using a Craftsman 1X30 sander. While this sander has done the job I am looking for something affordable that may be better. I found this Grizzly 2X72 on Amazon and am wondering if anyone has heard of or used it. It looks pretty good, removable platen, it dosen't say that I can change the drive wheel but some ingenuity could probably prevail. I am a little worried about belt speed, the manual did not say, but with a 1hp it shouldn't be too much I don't think. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Im not very web savvy but heres a shot at the web address: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...4//102-3287774-6442565?v=glance&s=hi&n=552878
