I'd like to know if any of you guys had any experience with the Grizzly belt sander/buffer. I had a guy ask about getting into knifemaking today and he's looking at one.
Thanks

For the money they are hard to beat. But there are much better grinders out there. I had a Grizzly years ago and my brother is using one now. It is a good first grinder if your money in limited. I would much rather have a Bader Blll or a KMG.

Don,
He wanted to know if there was a way to adjust the belt tracking on it and if there was any way to make it variable speed.
Thanks

You can adjust the tracking by turning a knob on the side of the idler wheel. The only way to slow it down is by putting a smaller contact wheel on the bottom, but then your limited to flat grinding.
