I recently purchased a grizzly drill press H0625 Oscillating Drill Press. Its not bad for the price I liked the chuck it came with. I have heard people say to upgrade but for a small shop its not a bad chuck. But then again I have never seen a nice chuck in action. The drill is a little bit on the noisy side when its on. But for the 115 bucks its not a bad deal at all. It is pretty easy to adjust the belt so you can change the speed. The oscillating feature seams to work, but the gear that controls that is made of plastic, not quality. It was east to assemble out of the box, I even got a nice long pair of needle nose pliers for free for spending more than 100 bucks. The long 14inch pliers will come in handy to pick up hot peaces out of the forge. I would recommend it to someone if they don't wanna spend allot of money on a drill press. I cant wait to put it to work on my first knife that I am making.

what is the purpose of this type of drill press??? I have no idea what or how it "oscillates"

it goes up and down so you can attach a drum sander to it. Its used to sand the profile of a knife or whatever els you might use it for. But Ill probly only use it for drilling holes.

Those small bench mount drill presses are very handy unless you mount a cross slide vise on one. I had to buy the short/stubby drill bits to use on it. But even when I buy a bigger one I will still hang onto it.

I hope it works out well for you.
