Hey guys,

I'm considering buying Grizzly Industrial's 1hp Dust Collector model G8027 and their air filter model G5955.

Anyone have any experience with either of these?

I've got to do something. My respirator just ain't enough anymore!!!!!

Thanks in advance!

I have the smaller one, the 1 HP G1163. It works pretty well, except the bag ripped at the seam after not much use. If I had it to do over, I'd go with one of the bigger upright ones, like the one you're considering.

I have the one your looking at but with the 2hp motor. I like it alot. I did have to strengthen the 2 legs. The rollers on the bottom leave something to be desired. It serves a purpose and does a very good job of it. I was thinking of buying the the same one you are considering for my garage shop at home. I was a little surprised that it wasn't built as well as some of their other equipment.

My 1 HP model isn't loud at all; runs about as loud as my 12" disc grinder.

I have the larger, double bag, upright model. It has been working good for 2 years. I also recommend the 2 stage garbage can separator. I use a floor intake and sweep everthing into it that hits the floor! It sucks up wood, metal and kydex scraps with ease!!
