Take a look at Coote grinders. http://www.cootebeltgrinder.com. I just bought one and I'm very happy with it. Runs $410, about $35 more for shipping. Supply your own motor and you're all set. Slightly more expensive than the Grizzly, but USA made, good quality, versatile (can run whatever motor you want), and you can upgrade to include a small wheel attachment that works great, as well as a disc sander.
Of course, everyone will say to save your money and go with a KMG, which is sound advice, but price-wise they aren't even in the same galaxy. For a basic beginner's machine that can do most of what you want it to do, the Coote is tough to beat.
