I recieved my new grizzly ,got it all set up ,adjusted , and tweaked as in Allen Blade's video it grinds so much easier and faster than the 1"x42" I had been using.

Now then I have a couple of questions? Iwas wandering if the contact wheel is supposed to have a concave surface to do hollow grinds on or do I need to flatten it? Also I ground a 2.5" drop point blade on it today and when Ifinnished the motor was hot enough that I couldn't leave my hand on it for more than a couple of seconds, is this common or do I need to contact Grizzly about it?

any help greatly appreciated in advance

Hello,

The main rubber contact wheel needs to be flat as a board with the edges slightly Broken and rounded. Also my motor gets real hot also, and has for the 3 yrs i have been using this particular one, doesnt seem to bother it much at all.

I was thinking about putting some heat sinks on mine, but if it's not a problem, then I won't worry about it. Looking forward to seeing your videos, Allen.

Sorry it took so long to reply Nathan, thanks for the info Allen,BTW your videos have made a huge improvement on my grinding, Iordered my videos direct from Allen,and even with the little bit of tweaking you need to do I agree with Allen "for 295.00 you can't beat it". I'm not an athority ,but if you are just getting started GET THE VIDEOS AND THE GRIZZLY! just be sure when they ship it to check the order they have screwed mine up twice!!!
