Just to let everyone know Grizzly is having a summer sale. The G1015 knife belt grinder is on sale for $275.00 (normally $350.00). It's a good starter machine (or keeper) I have one and like it alot. Might even get another.

In case others are wondering....I just spoke with a Griz rep. and the sale lasts until September 15. Thus, some of us have some time to scrape together those last few pennies.

Wondering what the general consensus is on the Grizzly.

Is it a good deal?

Capabilities and limitations?

Will I wish I'd bought a better machine to begin with and "end up crying twice"?
 
only cry once, the coote wilt a 10" wheel is $400.00 delivered to the door. find a old 1775rpm motor and some pulleys and you have a pro, grade machine for about $500.00 ive added a hardcore since. but i would recomend the coote. i still use mine for handle work

Check the past forums for plenty of opinions on the Grizzly and other grinders. That's what I did to decide how to start.

I have a grizzly for a little over a year
I went to grind on it and it locked up on
me> I am not real pleased with it,I called
grizzly and they said send the motor back and they would work on it at my cost.
Go with a coote for a start up.I had one and should have never sold it.
