I recently heard about these, and have been wondering if anyone has tried them, and if so, is it much of a difference maker? 72 Rockwell sounds pretty impressive, though I'm not the biggest fan of Swiss file cuts (I'd probably just get 00).
I have a few of these. I think they are grobet valtitan? The teeth seem to get dull quickly on hardened steel. I bought them to clean up shoulders after hardening on the occasion that I need to make some adjustment. I don’t recall them being spectacular
They do seem to be the same after Googling it. Or at least the same hardness.
Honestly, I doubt I'd use them on hardened steel as I typically use diamond files for that - I am more interested in just having a file that stays sharp longer when used on annealed steel.
I use Valtitan almost exclusively at work on gold and silver. I also use them in the shop for filing annealed steel and pretty much all metals. They are superior files for the tasks they are designed to do ... but pricey.
However, no file will last long on hardened steel. Don't let the Rc72 hardness fool you into thinking it will file away Rc62 steel ... it won't, at least not for long.
