Grohmann w/ Micarta Experience?

I'm looking at a Grohmann (can't decide between #1 and #4) and am debating the rosewood vs. micarta. I generally like micarta, and although I have nothing at all against wood I am not sure how I like the rosewood on the Grohmanns. Some photos, it looks great. Some, not so much.

So I'd really like to hear experience from people who have the #1, #2, #3, or #4 in either the rosewood or the micarta (preferably one of each) to let me know what they think.

The rosewood handle on my Canadian Belt Knife has held up great -- I've had it 30+ years. It does get a bit slippery though -- field dressing a deer, for instance. Micarta might give you a better grip.
