Groomsmen Knives under $100?

I recently got engaged to my girlfriend of roughly 3 years. We're simple people, in a sense, and we only hang out with a select few people. We enjoy quality friends, rather than quantity. We each have two friends standing in our wedding. No best man or maid of honor.
I'm thinking of getting something, or things, nice for my two groomsmen. They both are into knives, one more than the other, with the latter being converted by me lol. He carries a SAK daily and the other carries a Benchmade Mini-Barrage.

I was thinking of getting them each an ESEE Candiru and possibly a Nitecore or Olight flashlight. I would go with a folder and light, but no folder will knock the mini-barrage out of his pocket.

Any reccomendations?

I would suggest a SAK for both of them but because one already has a SAK the light might be a good idea. Nite Core has a rechargable light that is great. Look at their MH series.

Knifeworks was my first choice! Gotta support the local Louisiana boys!

Right on. Well, yeah, just look around on there until you find something you like in the $100 range (my suggestion, Manix 2 XL) and has the engraving as an option (based on blade size I think) and you're set.

Your groomsmen are lucky, they'll love the gift.

SAK is always the go-to for groomsmen as a main EDC knives will change over time, but no man will ever not cherish a SAK, even if it later gets relegated to back-burner kit...

For simplicity, why not look at an Atwood pocket tool? An Atwrench is simple, yet has a ton of uses. Although it is not a knife.

Can I suggest you go a little more upscale? Take a look at some of the more traditional knives. This years traditional forum knife would have been an excellent choice, you might find one one the exchange. But even without considering those a nice Case, Queen, or Great Eastern would be an ideal choice. A wedding is a traditional event, the knife should be too.

A SAK alox Mini-Champ coupled with a Fenix E05 Stainless AAA flashlight would be a beautiful key chain carry gift, leaving you with about $25.00 left over for a snap ring/key chain to carry the two.

I'd say a decent flashlight with their initials engraved on it. I'm in south Louisiana and a good flashlight is always a must have tool.
Congratulations and all the best!!!!

Candiru is awesome. How about a Kershaw Leek? Or even an Opinel? You can get those engraved, too.

There's a Kershaw/ZT "only" site that also does engraving. No name... Don't know if they're a member. Easy to find though.

No offense, but Atwood tools are never on my wish list. I just can't justify the prices for what they are.

I'm going with the Candiru. I've thought about leeks or skylines, but they already carry their own folders for their own reasons. Even if they end up not using the candiru, it's something different.

Just last night I was reading a sales flyer from Smoky Mountain Knife Works, and I was thinking to myself, "Just who still buys these old style pocket knives?" I'm over 60, and I wouldn't take one with me for anything. I was even going to start a thread about it. It looks like I found my answer......

Congratulations, Dave. I was in a similar predicament as you not too long ago. I opted to go with a set of simple custom knives from a maker here on the forum. You might want to do some asking around. Depending on your time-frame, one of the makers here might be able to work with you in coming up with something nice for them.

Here's the set of Hornets crafted by Todd Hunt/ TM Hunt Custom Knives that I gave to my groomsmen this spring.

Congratulations again!

I got married in June and went with regular production leeks for everybody and engraved thier name. Only my best man knew anything about knives and he was very excited to see it was a kershaw leek with his name on it. I got a good deal on amazon during a large kershaw sale and then got the engraving done locally. It's a good little knife they can unwrap during the rehearsal dinner without shock and awe, yet have a little fun with the assisted openning in front of everybody.
