Groove in sebenza blade from ceramic ball

I picked up a small Sebenza at Blade show last month. S45 steel new in the box. It has been my main carry since then. I took it apart for cleaning because it was feeling gritty. Upon disassembly I noticed a pronounced groove in the blade that was obviously from the ball. A picture is attached. Is this normal?

Perfectly normal. It’s what makes the blade smooth to open.

Thank you! I thought as much as the knife Tim Reeve uses in his video about cleaning the sebenza had the same groove but not as pronounced.

Completely normal. Enjoy your Sebenza, S45VN isn't the "latest and greatest" any more but it's a great steel.
