Groove Master order

I just ordered a groove master today, and requested a full convex edge. :D The young woman who took my order said that wouldn't be a problem, there wouldn't be any additional charge over the regular price, and the knife should ship by next week.

Do you think that they'll just take a regular gm and reshape the v-ground edge? Is that what people do when they talk about "laying back" the edge of their knife? I thought it might have to be done as a special order, but she didn't indicate that it would add any time to my order, and that they had the knives in stock and ready to ship.

Anyone else ever order one of the regular models with a full convex edge?

Thanks,
Frank

I imagine they will just regrind it. I think in the past,
Jerry has put different edges back on customers knives when
they sent them back to the shop for a resharpen.

Then again, maybe they don't sharpen the knives till they are ready to
ship them??;) I'm guessing:D

I believe Chip is right, or part right. Sharpening is the last step on the knife and since Busse Combat produces copious amounts of knifes they most likely have a number of unsharpened ones at the shop at any given time. It would not be difficult to put a convex edge on when sharpening the knife. I have a convex edge on a combat grade Mr. Mojo...it rocks! Then again, the asymetrical edge on my Steel Heart E rocks too. Hell...all of my Busse Knives rock! :)

Thanks for the reply, Jerry. That clears up the whole matter. :D I'll be looking for the btoj next week. :D :D
