Just wondering the best way to ''pimp'' and groove, G10, Micarta, like Brock blades, and Trident and others. I have a great Dremel with most attatchments, but I practiced on a cheap G10 S&W folder, and it was just kind of melting and smoking and leaving jagged edges, I haven't tried micarta, I was wondering what Dremel attatchment works best, and should I use something for lube, oil or water? Maybe slow the speed too? Any and all advice is very appreciated. Thanks

dont know much. i have only shaped one handle. the dremel tended to be much too fast for me it. in retrospect i probably should have used my hand and sandpaper. and lastly ive heard countless times that the dust from sanding can be extremely harmful to ones health. -CB

first, don't forget to tape the blade if it is a fixed blade, and certainly get a good dust mask ( i like the 3M, even though they are expensive...your health is worth it!)

now, i would say use a slow speed and use a sanding drum with a course sanding sleeve.

if you want to put grooves in, you might be better off with a chainsaw file, taking it slow.

just do something like this tridnent, or Brock, to plain micarta/G10

Use files and sandpaper.
Put the Dremel away. They are professional's tools-and most professionals still should not use them.
