Just wondering how come these are not more popular. Or..are they an underground sensation?

Hey! That GM looks familiar! But what's he doing without his pants on?!?

Oku, you got him drunk didn't you? Gads man! Get him dressed and send him home! I can't believe this:grumpy:

:D :D :D :D :D

Brian,
Great looking sheath (as usual)

I've often wondered why the GM isn't more popular also, maybe because it doesn't fit the general profile of a utility knife or maybe because people think it is too specialized(only a skinner)

I love mine. :D

Sweet sheath Brian. The GM is awesome, but you are right it doesn't seem to get the coverage that other do. Go figure, we just love the big brutes! :D

The GM will be my primary Hunting Companion, and possibly Heavy Work Knife, once I've had opportunity to prove out its design. I think it's one of the three best "working" knives to come out of the Busse shop: Satin Jack, Groove Master, and the Active Duty are, in my opinion, as good as useful knives get. :D

You know, I've been wondering the same thing. Why isn't it more popular? Or maybe it's just a sleeper model. Maybe it needs to be "anorexicized"?

Anyways, it's on my to-buy list, but Jerry keeps bringing them out faster than I can afford them. Jeez!

Cheers,
BJB :D

Actually, a few months ago I had almost decided that the Groove Master would be my first Busse purchase (I won a MS in a contest a few years back, but that’s another story). I found it to be the most appealing of the smaller knives that were being offered at the time. I was saving up to place my order, but then the Active Duty was released, and I had to have one. The MeFo, the Desert MoFo, a SH-E and a Desert NO (on order) followed that in short order. So it’s not that I don’t like the Groove Master…Jerry’s just been offering too much other neat stuff lately. I’ll get one someday…

That is a nice-looking sheath, Brian. Just out of curiosity, have you received an INFIcoot to use as a template yet?

Oku,

Looks like that may be a limited edition sheath... Jerry's canning the GM!:grumpy:

I fully blame Jerry for making my mind go kabloomph-splat.

I really wanted a GM, too. *sniff* :)

Yeah, I know. But I'm hoarding all scraps of cash I can get my dirty paws on for use at Blade.

I modeled the Groove Master after a hunting knife I made back in the '80's. I called it the "Pro Drop" as it was designed with the help of some pro hunting guides out of Alaska. I think the coating puts some folks off, but overall it had been a fairly popular blade for us.

Alaska!?! No wonder I like that bad boy so much!

I just came up with a theory as to why no one hears much about the GM: No one sells it. A lot of talk revolves around the selling and trading of knives. I cannot recall ever seeing a GM posted on the Exchange. People buy it and don't let it go! Well that's my guess.
