Thought I'd try a new texture. Used the Checkering File. The end result feels great and actually makes it feel softer.

Thank's for sharing. I may just try that, Iam just running a ranger band on mine.

You should post this in the Handle Mods thread. It looks great   !!! I would like to hear how long it took you, or you could just post a tutorial. Heck, just send me some of those freaking awesome scales :D !! haha

Looks awesome Tom! Man, you got the spacing perfect! Looks like a machine did it! Really creative man. Congrats.

Looks good bro! I wonder how one of those would feel if after you did that you coated it in plasti dip?

Taken care of.

Great work on those scales.
Where can you buy those checkering files?
Do they come in varied sizes?
Tips on keeping a straight line on curved scales?

You do some great mods. After it wears a little, that should be a perfect grip.

I'm curious about the checkering file as well. I'd like to try it on my BM2, maybe ever try a fully checkered handle. Looks good, Tom!

I need to get one of those files, that is really cool. Looks grippy without being too rough.

Me likey! Just got a set of replacement cutters. Now I know what I will be doing with the BK niner handles. What was the spacing you used?

It is grippy without being rough. The grip I stippled

turned out to be just a little to rough, so I knocked it down just a bit with emery cloth. Now is it perfect.

The reason I did not do the entire handle in grooves is two fold. First I just thought it looked cool with the two textures and second I did not think it needed to be in order to provide grip. It feels really neat the way it is. Tough to describe.

Tom, you are getting some really amazing grips there. I think I'll be PM'in' you soon about some of these grips you keep turning out. Yeah, definetly soon.
