Groovy Groove ! ( Kershaw content )

Hey all...

Finally finished up on my trusty Groove.

Modifications -

Got rid of the beadblast finish on all surfaces ! :thumbup:

Gave it much more of a point for piercing.

Added 'meteor impacts' to the framelock side.

Added additional thumb jimping.

Gave it a full G-10 scale with 'alien ribcage' look.

Hard to tell from the pic but the 'meteor impact' was darkened with my mix of bluing agent and acid... The knife is much nicer looking now !

Love this knife ! Rock solid lockup , flipper is butter smooth , much more grippier now and quite eye catching to boot.

Thanks to R.J. Martin for the design and to Kershaw for making another fine production folder !

Meteor holes on this piece are the bomb. Nice mods man! :thumbup:

I forgot I did this thread.. lol

The 'meteor holes' were done with a drill , I darkened them with a mix of gun blue and acid , then polished the surface with 400.
The G10 was done with a dremel , my first time trying this , I think next time I got the idea down on how to a nicer pattern , but I'm pleased with the overall look.

I forgot to mention that I shortened the pocket clip and re-bent it....

As usual it looks much nicer in person than in the pics.

Holy schnike, Tostig, I gotta throw in with you on this one. Wow! It looks great. Very well executed and interesting combination of technique adds up to a fantastic looking piece.

Thanks so much guys for the replies and kind words.

I love modding knives, it's one of my favorite pasttimes , especially in the winter.

I have a few more that I recently modded , perhaps I should post those as well.

I'm gettin ready to mod my OD-1 !

Excellent job on the meteor holes they give it a very cool look. And that sculpted g10 is out of this world! Great job and extremely creative!
