My Machax came! Despite having read the specs the pictures always gave me the impression of a Machete sized knife. I was pleasantly surprised at its actual size when seen in person. Not nearly as cumbersome as i thought. I am actually quite taken with it. Also a surprise to me was the dangler sheath, a bonus as far as I am concerned, especialy when frequently mounting/dismounting my ATV. It came fairly sharp and a few licks on the steel made it hair shaving sharp. I can't wait to get out and use it. First i plan to make some walking sticks and in doing that use it as a draw knife. The "axe" part of the Machax makes an excellent spot to place the heel of your hand when grasping to draw cut. I have a special walking stick project already concocted and will post pics
