After some thought I decided to do some more modding to my beloved Groove.

First off the brushed look got nixed in favor of my top secret "Nuked steel" finish.

It turned out a tad splotchy but as they say , the eye of the beholder and all that... plus I find that this finish provides a grippier surface than the brushed one I previously did , also aside from the blade it is now non-reflective.

Then I rounded off the G10 scale for a much more comfortable grip and more "hand friendly" when I put my hand in my pocket. ( I got the idea from jprice76 who modded his Lahar :D

I also used my bosses belt sander to give it even more of a tip , now the blade suits me perfectly , razor sharp , belly , curve and a point.

Still toying with the idea of a scale on the lock side but I like how it looks as is ( for now ) :D

What ya guys think ? :D

Looks very nice. Did you try just using the g10 as a scale without the factory steel back? It would really cut the weight, but it might flex too much. How about a TI frame lock with a g-10 back scale, kind of Rick Hindder style. Wonder how some SG2 would look Grooooved? Thomas it is about time are a short run of something real nice for us all too dream about.

Thanks for the replies folks !! :)

SPX , I use FC etch then gun blue to achieve the desired darkness.

presz , no I think that would ruin the strngth of the knife. Besides I'm a medium/big guy and I hardly notice it in my pocket as it is :D

I'm working on my Storm I just scored , man Kershaw knives are a great canvas for customization.
