Group buy posting?

Okay, I negotiated a group price on a Benchmade and put together a system of tools for handling the nitty-gritty of the deal (as a proof-of-concept) here: www.uniteful.com/47

Where is it appropriate to post this deal on Bladeforums? I don't think this qualifies as "individual selling knives." I'm not a dealer, reseller, or broker. I'm also not acting as an agent for a particular dealer, reseller, or broker.

To get the group price I've signed on to take responsibility for getting the knives to the people who ordered them and to place a single order with a single credit card.

I would like to get this thing going so I can get my Sequel in my pocket.

I don't know where to go with this. Group buys always look like dealer business to me. I just noticed you have a previous thread on this, with no replies, from a month ago. But that was in the General Knife Discussion, not a great place to get moderators thinking about it.

Let's see what other input we get. I am tired ... long weekend.

One technical matter: you are a Gold member, but it doesn't show. Go to http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/profile.php?do=editusergroups and click on Gold.

that group buy is for $95....there is a seller on ebay for $100 plus you can get 3% rebate back from ebay bux and a credit card so for the $2..why not just buy yourself one that way?

Please realize, this thread was started and is focused on Bladeforums policy on group buys, that's what dougluce is asking, not where he can get a good buy for himself alone.

Most of the people who come to Bladeforums and propose to "organize a group buy" in their first posts are spammers. The "group buy" price they offer is often more than the ordinary retail price on the net. Even if it isn't, why would anyone trust them?

This is a no-go. We don't allow group buys here. Dealers pay good money to advertise on this site for a reason.
