This is our best garden to date. I am really proud of it and I'd just like to share some pictures. I have already harvested 2 zucchini 6 yellow squash 3 cucumbers and a handful of all the berries, not pictured is the okra, the leafy greens which have all been eaten, the beets, which have been eaten, and the potted fig tree

Lovely array of tomato color

They all taste about 100% better than anything you can buy in the store, farmers market ect. I can taste the sweat that has poured off my brow in these few weeks of 90+ here on the east coast and boy is it sweet ;). the knowledge of growing, gathering, prepping and knowing food plants has become one of my biggest hobbies and greatest joys.. luckily knives can play i pivotal role in all :) thanks for looking, and please share pictures of your gardens and wild harvests !!

I hear you on enjoying the bounty of the garden. Live well and eat the freshest veggies you can get and if you grew them double the benefit.

Good for you! I'd show you a picture but as a firiend remarked,"He grows more in his garden than anyone else I know, unfortunately its mostly weeds." :)

very nice! your garden looks a lot like my dad's actually. i just don't have the time (or motivation i guess) to grow my own so for now i'm leeching off of his garden especially his hot peppers :D

We too have finished the leafy greens but, have started the fall greens stuff this week . we are eating tomatoes and cukes daily now and will have enough cucumbers to do pickles next week . we should have green beans in a week too. Aside from the food we grow raising a garden helps my stress issues as well as anything I do
this was done earlier

Good topic thanks. Interesting to see what you are growing. I liked seeing the archery targets Roy.

We have just a small yard. Our fruit trees are grown as hedges and espaliers, but they are still young and not producing much yet.

We made raised vegetable beds out of concrete. We don't have any lawn.... instead we have planted some low-growing plants that you can walk on. I love not owning a lawnmower. The grass around here needs mowing most when it is too wet to get out and mow it. Then you can find that you have no fuel.... or the danged starter cord breaks or the wheel falls off.
