I remember when the gryphon trio of knives came out probably back in the 1990's and I immediately bought the M30A1, which is my favorite and I may have owned the others at some point. But, all that remains to this day are two M30A1s, until today. The other day I saw an internet consignment dealer listing one of the M35's for close to $400, which is about what the M30A1 goes for these days as it should. The M30A1 is a fantastic knife close to what an original Terzuola fighter feels like. I have a bunch of those as well. I digress, anyway I was thinking I had seen the M35 sell in the $100 range recently from the Cutlery Shoppe (the original source for all of these Gryphon knives)so I looked them up and they were still in stock. I jumped on them with two feet and ordered up two of them. One with a custom kydex sheath at $109 and one without a sheath for $60. They showed up today along with a little pack of swag from CSI and they are pretty darn nice for that price. I think I have a leather sheath that will fit the one; I will just have to dig it out tomorrow. I am pretty happy with this pair at this price. The little red arrow on the blade is a sticker pointing to the dent from the Rockwell hardness test that was done to every knife, in SEKI, Japan where the were made by Hattori.
