This model caught my eye while looking through the list of larger fixed blades. I tried to do what researching I could, but it seems that the knife has been discontinued and company website shut down.

The specifications for the knife say zytel handles, but I have heard mentions of the handle being rubberized. I can't really tell from the pictures. Can any owners give me some information/thoughts on the knife, and perhaps pictures if you have them in hand?
Huge thanks

Gryphon knives M30A1 is a nice knife for the price (currently about $100 at Cutlery Shoppe on sale).

I like the feel of it for a medium size (6" Blade) fighter. It is not much a a general utility or outdoors knife but that is not what the design is.

It does not measure up to the real Terzuola Battlemate or Battleguard but for about $700 less than one it is not too bad.

There was a version out with Kraton (rubber) handles that was a limited edition and I had one but like the hard Zytel handle model better. the checkering and grip lines molded around the handle give it a sure grip and nice feel when moving fast. The nylon sheath that currently comes with it is better than the old model but I made a Kydex sheath similar to what Bob Terzuola supplies with the real thing.

I sharpened the back edge and the regular edge on mine to near razor polish.

Here's a picture of the Gryphon M30A1 next to the real deal. They have been carried a good bit but seldom have cut anything

Thanks again for the reply. I noticed the sale @ cutlery shoppe, too. Nice knives!! Those customs really do have a hell of a price tag.
