Is GSM coming out with a new Counterpoint XL in a serrated version.? That would be pretty interesting I think. What do you guys think about a serrated stiletto blade? It's kind of conflicting for that style of blade so I was just wondering what you fellas are thinking about that particular model

if it's even being considered,
I thought I seen somewhere that they were going to make it.

Cold Steel Gunsight Folding Knife 4 Spear Point AUS-10A Polished Blade Griv-Ex Handle

serrated stiletto
If the main purpose is for a fighting knife, that will be used mostly to stab , serrations will have little benefit .

If used in a slashing / slicing motion , serrations can cut more efficiently , but require special efforts to sharpen correctly .

Sure ...go ahead , we can take it ! ;)
I guess you're right about that serration is really not for that style of knife. I thought they were going to make a fully serrated one. But as you have explained it's really not my bag after understanding

Gunsite is an awesome little blade. Be aware though, it's one of the models that Cold Steel uses a magical tape measure on, it's only a 3 3/4 in blade, not the advertised 4 in.

I thought I saw that idiot stick man showing one at a blade show or something. It was fully serrated. But he didn't know that, he don't know much of anything. Wrong man in the wrong job

I thought I had lost my Counter Point 2 about 3 months ago. I ended up finding it in the bowels of my sectional sofa…it must have slipped out of my cargo shorts. I was actually looking for my car keys and found it…what a pleasant surprise. Was so upset at myself for losing it. Been carrying it for several yrs now, love that knife. I’m unaware of any other knife company that makes a folding boot knife. Another reason CS was so unique.

Was. Unique in the past

That Gunsite version is sweet though. I’m not a fan of serrations (ugly in my opinion). But this particular model doesn’t look bad with them. I remember everyone hating on the fake stag handles on the Lone Star and Mackinac Hunter models. But once I received them and held them …I wouldn’t change them for anything. Those fake a$$ handles have a special charm to them. So ridiculous they’re awesome, LOL!

I feel the same way about the "faux stag" scales on the Drop Forged Bowie. Not bad looking and offers a secure non slip grip!

Exactly, in fact I was thinking the faux handles would actually be much easier to clean. Especially if the knife is used for field dressing deer, etc. I don’t hunt, but would imagine all the blood, dirt and so forth would eventually stain wooden handles. I love the wood handles (ie. Buck 110), but synthetic materials have their advantages too.

I think the Counter Point XL is like that too, measuring at 5.5" instead of the 6" promised. Must be a tough guy thing...
