I've searched and read and read but can't seem to find info about the weight of the GSO 3.5. Can anybody help out?
Thanks!

New spec GSO's are to be determined. As for old Guy or Ellie would have to tell you unless some one kind enough could weigh it and let you know.

Let me weigh in on this conversation.....

I used a non-digital food scale to measure my old spec 3.5.

About 5 oz in sheath without the clip

About 3 oz for just the knife

Hope that helps!

Thanks! That's great info. If I understand things correctly, the new one will be a little thicker and I presume a little heavier. Please correct me if I'm wrong about the thickness change. I like thinner so I suppose I'll need to look for an older one.

It looks like it's only 1/64th thicker so it's not much. It'll be heavier as a solid tang, but it'll be stronger. G10 scales are definitely heavier also incase you wondering.

I think you're on the right track. Old version had a very skeletonized tang, new does not. Old had 2 screws, new has 3. New is a little longer and like you said slightly thicker, as if it took an all natural herbal male enhancement.

EDIT: Standard posted as I was typing, he's right on.
